Cho
In Japan the Butterfly (Cho) is symbolic of the human soul, the transformation of life,
and the representation of beauty and love. Japanese mythology speaks of the butterfly
carrying souls of those who have left us and those who still remain.
Butterflies are also popular with young girls in Japan. They represent beauty and grace.
Woman wearing Kimonos are often compared to beautiful butterflies.
One butterfly represents young womanhood while two symbolizes martial bliss.
