JACK IS BACK : Making of the Harmony Within Rabbit

Elizabeth Koval Maffeo painted the Harmony Within Rabbit for the JACK IS BACK public art project. Liz is one of 25 artist who decorated a rabbit to help fundraise for Vacaville Museum. This is the 2nd rabbit Liz has made for the Jack fundraising project.

About The Harmony Within Rabbit:
I create my paintings with distinct purpose. My vision for each of my painting is to educate and inspire the observer.
My theme for Jack is HARMONY WITHIN. The main purpose is to inspire you to find your inner peace; a sanctuary to tether to in times of uncertainty - a melodic calm created by the beauty of music and nature harmonizing together - and within you.
I interpreted this theme by bringing together organic movement through winged creatures and honeysuckle vines. Also by adding movement of sound through staff lines and musical notes - some represent the possible melodies inside you, while other notes are a subtle phrasing of the violin score from the timeless composition “Ava Maria”. Music and nature both soar with fluidity into the air whether you can see it or not. You feel it. Embracing both, you find the balance that resonates within you.
