Kimono Seasons
This series integrates the subtlety of Eastern lore with the vibrancy of western realism to create stunning and graceful "moments of heart and inner being" through the central symbolic theme of Kimono tapestries.
Tsuyu: Shizuka-Ni
Tsuyu: Shizuka-Ni
The Japanese word for the rainy season is Tsuyu
Shizuka-Ni means quietness.
The rainy season is the perfect time to release her secret. Walking in the rain,
she allows the drops to fall onto her garment. At this moment, the kimono comes
to life with koi playfully swimming all throughout the fabric.
To not disturb or frighten these fish, she quietly watches.
