Origin story:
On June 28, 2023, I had the joy of crafting Ukulele Prototypes to complement the adorable Stitch character, which I asked my talented son, Dante Maffeo, to 3D Resin print for me.
With my sculpting knowledge, I carefully hand-sculpted a Soprano Hawaiian Ukulele, envisioning multiple casts of these playful miniature instruments. 🎶
What sparked this project? Firstly, it was a heartfelt gift idea. Secondly, I aimed to impart the traditional two-part mold making process to Dante. The outcome was a triumph - these petite sculptures transformed into charming gifts and cherished Christmas ornaments. A homage to the “Old School” replication method that predates 3D printing. 🎄✨
